Filitalia is an international non-profit founded by Pasquale Nestico, M.D. in 1987. We aim to promote and preserve our Italian heritage, language and customs around the world through social, humanitarian, networking, and cultural events; scholarships; Italian language classes, and more.
What does “Filitalia” mean?
Filitalia means “Love for Italy.”

Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, Filitalia has 2 arms. Filitalia International is a 501(c)(4) and Filitalia Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is deductible to the full extent allowable under IRS regulations. Making donations should be addressed to Filitalia Foundation. Please consult a tax advisor regarding the tax deductibility of your donation.

What services do you provide?
Filitalia offers the following: online Italian language classes with qualified Italian speakers, translation services for Italian documents, legal services related to Italian citizenship, genealogical research, academic scholarships, exchange program opportunities, as well as education through the History of Italian Immigration Museum.
What is The History of the Italian Immigration Museum?
This History of Italian Immigration Museum (HIIM) exists to share the history of Italian immigrants in the United States. Additionally, the museum hosts private parties and a Language Lab where children and adults of all ages can learn the Italian language.
Are there any internships available?
Yes! The HIIM offers unpaid, credit internships for undergraduate and graduate students throughout the year. Anyone interested can apply HERE.
How can I volunteer at Filitalia?

How do I join Filitalia?
You can apply through our Become A Member page. After they are accepted and submit the required fees, new members will join the Chapter nearest to them.
